David

Meet one of your guides and founder - David Womack also known as Soaring Eagle which was gifted to him by his mother and elders. Some of David’s best childhood memories growing up were immersed in nature on the family Ranch. Which led into some of his first initiations with his grandfather who carries much wisdom were performed on this land. His papa also known as a storyteller taught him the woods on a deeper level. They would sit in silence listening to nature, watching the wind, wildlife tracking, shape shifting, and becoming one with nature as early as 5 years old. Soon after high school David went straight to work becoming a master in his trade for 12 years creating a life of luxuries that became toxic and would soon come to a halt. There was something missing inside and the beat of the mother along with the call of his ancestors were loud and clear. He made the decision to release from the world we all know so well in search for deeper meaning. He went on many long in-depth vision quest lasting years with many initiations guided by spirit and nature. From the extreme desert to the wild backcountry of the mountains. His world travels also led him to wilderness survival and permaculture school, Europe, Peru and to some of his greatest mentors. One of his closes Elders, Dr. David Thomson, Founder of Sacred Circles Institute with his wife Mattie, authors of "Walking the sacred wheel". Teaching indigenous spirituality from many backgrounds along with deeply rooted Native American Blackfeet traditions with Chief Keith Moon. David Soaring Eagle continues his studies and works closely with these elders today. While learning the old ways from the native roots he also traveled to his ancestral homelands of Northern Europe apprenticing in shamanic workshops, while honoring the spirits of the lands. His travels then lead him to be immersed deep in the jungle studying with the indigenous tribes of Peru. While training with ancient keepers of the Shipibo and Ashanika lineage, it allowed him a deeper connection with the land, sacred plant medicines, and the beautiful people. Today he continues to guide others into wilderness immersions along with world travels experiencing the medicine that surrounds us all. This universal blend of complex teachings along with his inner wisdom passed on from his own lineage, allows David Soaring Eagle to weave in beautiful techniques to help guide you through a powerful experience building relationship with nature on a more intimate level. Ultimately helping you connect into your inner power creating personal freedom, love, balance, peace, and harmony. All at the same time creating a space for you to harness the medicine from your own story and the wisdom that sits within.

Cory

Meet one of your guides - Cory Manka “The Lion” Given to him by his ancestors through shining unconditional love to each soul that came along his path even in their worse condition. Some of Cory’s best times are surfing, hiking, freediving, and snowboarding. He decided to join the Navy after Highschool in search of freedom to fulfill the void in his heart while being a protector for his country. At 18 becoming a corpsman(medic) and deploying with the Marines as their field medic it led him to much trauma and pain. After 5 years of service he had a deep realization that healing was needed but not in the way of western medicine. He decided to leave the military and was guided by Spirit to work with the sacred plants of Mother Earth. Cory had searched externally his whole life for love ultimately to be led internally to his home in his heart. Cory facilitated at an intentional community focused on holistic healing and plant medicine. For 8 months he gained much wisdom and knowledge from the plant teachers and medicine healers surrounding him. Over the past few years Cory has participated in countless ceremonies, traveled to Bali for yoga teacher training, practices sound healing, and is a reiki energy healer. Cory has also traveled to Peru to study with elder shamans from the Shipibo and the Ashanika lineage who helped anchor his roots in ancient wisdom. Through many initiations Cory works closely with the all the Elements, Sacred Directions, Ancestors, Galactic, and Council of light. Cory has worked to become a conduit of light holding space for others while also leading intimate one-on-one ceremonies as well as couples to help embody more love into relationships and help bring Clarity and understanding to their sacred path. Ashley

After growing up in South Florida, Ashley moved to Washington where she fell in love with the wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. After years of enjoying hiking and camping, she decided to refine her skills and expand her knowledge by attending Alderleaf Wilderness College and graduated with a Certificate in Wilderness Skills Education and Ecology. She has a CyberTracker Track & Sign III certificate, a Permaculture Design Certificate, and is Wilderness First Aid Certified. Her goal is to teach people of all ages how to understand and appreciate the natural world. She is also very passionate about astronomy and teaching how and why things in the sky move the way they do. She is currently an instructor at Quiet Heart Wilderness School and is a daily practitioner of yoga and mindfulness meditation, and enjoys knitting, singing, ukulele, and primitive skills.

Adam

Adam first went to the Peruvian amazon when he was 20 years old. He instantly fell in love with the large tracks of untouched rain forests and ancient cultures that live off the land. He organized his first trip down to the land with his friends from America in 2002. He has since started the non-profit Ni Bero which focuses on seed saving, permaculture, reforestation and attuning to the consciousness of the jungle. Adam also teaches permaculture design and herbalist courses at Tierravida Benxote and leads family trips for children and adults. His fluent Spanish makes him a wonderful translator! Adam is a Jungle Guide and also a registred Maine Guide. The process of obtaining a License as a Maine Guide is the most difficult in the United States. He has also worked on many organic farms and has fun incorporating all his experience into the versatile Amazon jungle basin. Adam studied at SOLO to earn his certifications as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (WEMT). SOLO is the oldest continually operating school of wilderness medicine in the world. He attended Tom Brown’s Apache inspired Nature and Wilderness Survival School. During a 4-year apprenticeship a Earthways with Ray Reitze, Adam experienced sweat lodges, sacred pipe ceremonies, study of the medicine wheel, and meditation. His studies in Peru include Shamanism in Tarapoto, and volunteering in exchange for studies at Takiwasi. Takiwasi is a center to treat drug addicts using ayahuascha and other medicinal plants. Adam studied at Iquitos, which is is a center of shamanism and permaculture at Kapitari. He also spent time in Pucallpa with Mixtisu, Shipibo Shamans, and with elder Nauahas and Cashinauahas.
