Teen Nature Programs

Transitions To Man Hood

Teenage Boys 12-16 yrs

Long ago, our ancestors recognized that the transition from childhood to adulthood is a critical time for young men, impacting both them and their community. This period can be confusing and challenging, prompting elders to gather in council to mentor these young men. They would guide them through rites of passage, often taking them into the wilderness where nature serves as a teacher. Through various initiations, the young men awaken their inner spirit and learn to navigate this important transition.

Mountain Maiden Quest

Teenage Girls (Ages 12-16)

This quest serves as a invitation for young women to explore their inner selves while surrounded by the beauty of nature. The program encourages participants to embrace solitude and reflection, allowing them to withdraw from the chaos of everyday life. Just as many mentors have sought solace in nature, this experience invites each girl to find her own sacred space within the wilderness.

. By embracing solitude amidst nature’s beauty while fostering connections with peers, teenage girls can emerge from this experience with renewed strength, clarity of purpose, and a deeper understanding of their place in the world.
